Most temporary tattoos last 2–5 days, depending on where you place them and how much friction the area gets. Tattoos on the hands or wrists tend to fade faster, while areas like the upper arm, shoulder, or ankle usually last longer. Lotions are not your friend!

Temporary tattoos fade naturally, but if you want to remove one sooner, you can gently rub the area with baby oil, rubbing alcohol, or an oil-based makeup remover. Most designs will come off within a minute or two.
